"It's been three days since my mom's passing, and my grandparents now know about the news that broke their hearts into pieces.
These three days were the most quiet and tearful days of our lives. Even we as kids were gentle, not really understanding what had happened.
Then something clicked in my little mind, and I started asking, 'Where is mommy, daddy?'
My dad, with sorrow in his eyes, said she is coming.
Because I was a kid, I started crying and crying, and soon my little brother joined in. It was like a chorus in a quiet place.
My mom's sister then came in and acted like she was our mommy.
Because she resembles my mom so much, it actually worked, and before you knew it, we started calling her mommy.
With pain in her heart, she had to play along, just to fill in for her elder sister (my late mom).
With sorrow in everyone's eyes and the unbearable pain in their hearts, the many teardrops in their eyes, my grandparents, dad, and mom's sister finally decided to sit at a table together to discuss when to bury my mother.
For the burial to be successful, they needed to let everyone know about what had happened.
They had to inform my mom's friends, my mom's twin brothers, my dad's family, and everyone who knew our family.
This was going to be very big news that no one had planned to be sharing.
My dad always loved sharing good news, but now he had to announce to everyone what had happened because my grandparents could not really do it due to the overwhelming emotions in their hearts."
